d'Arc Trillium's
Earth Shakers
Over the Garden Wall
The inspiration for this pair of Earth Shakers came to me from the pages of a songbook from
1889.  The title of the piece of music brought all kinds of images to my mind, and I layered vines,
trumpet flowers, gilded butterflies, hand-painted silk leaves, and pieces of sheet music in a
celebration of that secret garden on the other side of the garden wall.  To continue the vine motif,
delicate bead work  wraps the handles in green with tiny purple blossoms, ending with dangles of
glass leaves.
